In this entertaining memoir, Alf Commons looks back on an eventful 23-year career with the Royal Air Force from 1946 to 1969. During this time his work as a radio technician took him to a variety of home and overseas postings, including Libya, Cyprus (103 MU, 1959-61), Germany (68 Squadron 1953-55) and Gan (Maldive Islands 1963-64) plus in the UK, Fairford, REU Henlow (Radio Installation Squadron 1956-59) and Coltishall (1961-63 & 1968-69) Stradishall and Abingdon (1964-65).
